About The Director

Tamora Reedus, M.S., OTR/L

Tamora is a nationally registered and state-licensed occupational therapist with 8+ years of clinical experience in the skilled nursing setting and over 6+ years of experience providing occupational therapy intervention to children with learning disabilities in the school system, grades K-12, as well as Pre-K.

At an early age, Tamora discovered her passion for helping others and working with children. Her passion was fueled by occasional visits to work with her mom, who was a special education teacher, and accompanying her on Sundays in the church nursery.  Tamora went on to work with special needs students when she was in middle school. Upon graduation from high school, Tamora continued her academic studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (OT).

Proverbs 19:21 says, "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.”

Tamora affirms that her passion finally met her purpose when her career as an occupational therapist led her to the school system, where she currently provides OT services to children with diagnosed medical and learning disabilities. This affirmation along with her empathy, compassion, and desire to serve children with learning disabilities led her to establish iLD with the mission to help advocate for and educate children who learn differently than their peers.  Learning different is just an obstacle, not a burden and she is overjoyed to have the opportunity to help children reach their maximum potential!
